Welcome to Constanta!

Constanta is a port city, founded in 600 BC - it's the oldest city in Romania where people still live, so expect Greco-Roman and Ottoman ruins and architecture and lots of history! Today, as Romania's third largest city, Constanta is an important cultural and commercial centre with a burgeoning jazz scene and wild nightlife in the Mamaia resort area along the beach. Between the gorgeous beaches, the grand casino, and the museums, everyone will find something to tickle their fancy on this Constanta stag do.

Hen & Stag Do in Constanta

Flights to Constanta happen once or twice a week at most, so planning is key. If you plan everything a few months ahead, you can score flights to Constanta from London for about £25 with Wizz Air. The only other airport with direct flights is Liverpool, and BlueAir runs flights for about £40 if you get them early enough. Flights take a lazy 3 hours and 25 minutes, so kick back and look forward to a crazy Constanta stag do weekend. This is the kind of place you go to unwind and unplug, so there's no need to worry about rental cars or transport at all once you arrive: everything's walk-able and the public transportation is regular and easy to navigate if you want to explore further out.

The beach is going to be central to this Constanta stag do, so get out the towel and enjoy the heat! Charter a boat out into the beautiful Black Sea, lounge in the sun, or swim at Mamaia beach (there are literally no rocks in the water at this beach). If you want to sightsee, the Old Town areas are the place to be: Check out the Roman mosaic from 4AD, walk out for photo-ops at the Genoese lighthouse, and definitely take a trip to the old Casino for an awesome sunset view and a taste of what the city was like in its heyday.

Hop on an ATV for a sandy ride around the beach, tour hidden caves in nearby Mangalia, and camp out like a true bohemian at the Vama Veche beach, where you'll meet all kinds of crazy locals and tourists drinking around their campfires. When it comes to nightlife in Mamaia, you can choose your speed, from chill to wild. Crazy Beach is definitely the most popular bar in town, so you have to go for at least one, but there are bars and clubs all around the edges of the beach so you can take your pick and stumble from door to door if you want. For a night you'll never forget, get VIP access to the best nightclubs in Mamaia, head out to the strip clubs and watch the luscious dancers perform all night, then stumble back to Club Ego or Fratelli to party until sunrise with sound of the Black Sea lapping up on the sand just outside…
